A pleasure, a melancholy, meanness,
Some momentaneous attention comes
As AN shocking vacationist.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Although they’re a crowd of sorrows,
Who violently sweeps your own home?
Empty of its furnishings,
Still, manage every traveler honorably.
He is clearing you out
For some new satisfaction.
The dark notion, the shame, the malice.
Meet them at the door riant and invite them in.
Be glad for no matter comes.
Because everybody has been despatched
As a manual from the past.
